On Friday, 23 February 2024, the Night of Iran-Tajikistan Cultural Heritage was held with the participation of official, cultural, artistic, and literary figures of Iran and Tajikistan in Niavaran Historical-Cultural complex. The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and national anthems of Iran and Tajikistan, followed by speeches by Dr. Ali Darabi, Vice Minister for Culture and Deputy for Cultural Heritage and Chair on the Governing Council of the Tehran ICH Centre, Ms. Atusa Momeni, Director-General of the Tehran ICH Centre, Mr. Nizomiddin Zohidi, Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Tehran, Mr. Davlat Safarzoda, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, Hojatoleslam val-Moslemin Abdolhossein Khosropanah, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, Ms. Zulfiya Burkhon, Secretary-General of Tajikistan National Commission for UNESCO and Mr. Hekmatolah Molasalehi, Professor of the University of Tehran. This event was organized to further highlight the cultural commonalities of the two nations and pave the way for strengthened cultural cooperation.
The ceremony also included an exhibition of photographs and crafts of Iran and Tajikistan, Tajikistan national costumes and guests were greeted with Iranian and Tajik traditional foods and pastries. In this event, a wide variety of Iran and Tajik traditional performances was also presented.
