Tehran ICH Centre organises a Capacity Building Workshop on « Implementation of the Unesco Convention 2003 on the Safeguarding of ICH » in Pakistan.
This event, which started on July 4 and will end on July 8, was organized in close cooperation with the National Institute of Folklore and Traditional Heritage of Pakistan (Lok Virsa), the Ministry of Education and Culture and the National Commission of UNESCO-Pakistan. In this workshop, prominent policy makers and intangible cultural heritage experts have gathered.
In the opening ceremony, which was held in the presence of high-ranking Pakistani cultural and government officials, the Director-General of the Tehran ICH Centre, Atusa Momeni, expressed the missions and goals of the centre and emphasized the role of living heritage as a soft power in creating harmony and solidarity between nations to strengthen peace and sustainable development.
